Krio: A Quick Lesson for Travelers

Post by Lara

Sorry for the delay between posts-- between our modem's SIM card deciding to stop working and our cell tower being spotty at best, it's been difficult to get a good internet connection.

A recent look at the traffic sources that lead to our blog showed us that people are coming here after searching Krio and Mende on Google—we think that’s awesome, and in response to this we are going to try to put more mini Krio and Mende lessons up here as time goes on.  Today, because we have 3 family members coming to visit in July, we’re posting a list of good phrases to know if you’re traveling in Sierra Leone.  Krio is basically spelled the way it sounds, so pronunciation shouldn’t be too difficult.  Soon, we hope to post a few videos to offer some practice.
